Join SolarWinds and grow with us!Your Role:This seasoned Technical and Competitive Marketing Director will be responsible for presenting our platform in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. Works closely with the product marketing, demand marketing, product management, sales, SE’s and Customer Success to ensure we are positioned for market leadership, have effective content, and are driving demand for new customer acquisition, expansion, and cross-sell.Your Impact:Lead and manage a world-class technical marketing and competitive marketing team to serve as the internal authority on competitive and market dynamicsDrive technical sales enablement, and build and deliver clear, compelling, fact-based marketing collateral highlighting SolarWinds product and technology differentiationDrive insightful & compelling technical content (whitepapers, blogs, ROI/TCO calculators, webinars, and demos etc) targeting IT operations, security, database, applications, devops practitioners and technology leaders/economic buyers for marketing initiatives to influence customers, buyers, industry specialists, research analysts, key editors in the press and other third partiesAnalyze competitive landscape, develop our competitive marketing strategy and relevant competitive content including enablement content, competitive campaigns, competitive sales plays, battlecards, and support sales teams in competitive sales situationsLead the creation and execution of competitive response plansCollaborate with Sales and SE’s and contribute to win/loss analysis that informs go-to-market strategies and identifies standard methodologies for sales teamsCollaborate with marketing, product marketing, product management, and sales teams to help drive technical and competitive positioning strategies and influence product roadmap and messagingDrive in product launch initiatives and demand generation initiatives including Tradeshows, Conferences, and Technical Sales Training or Channel Partner Training activities from technical and competitive marketing perspectiveDrive demos roadmap. Own the demos product vision and work with our data analysts to create meaningful problem statements / business drivers to increase leads and sales usageIdentify new areas for growth through quantitative searchYour Experience:8-14 years leading technical and competitive marketing teamsA deep, detailed understanding of ITOperations, Observability, AIOps, Security, DevSecOps, markets and competitive dynamics.Strong business acumen to analyze competitive strategies and propose effective countermeasuresAbility to translate information to accurately deliver actionable insights for sales, product, and marketing teamsAbility to work amicably with key stakeholders while championing activities that advance our organizational objectivesA deep sense of accountability and the ability to drive large projects to completion with urgency to achieve the intended business impactExperience testing, iterating, and evolving your approach to increase impactful engagement with external audiencesSelf-starting and highly motivated to help elevate SolarWinds external brand for technical audienceSolarWinds is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
