Are you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.The Lead Video Producer position within the Bendpak Marketing team is a versatile video production specialist; combining an expert set of creative talents including editing, writing, and producing to create a variety of video content requests across all platforms. The Lead Video Producer needs to be collaborative in order to lead a team of content creation professionals within the BendPak Marketing department while also working independently to meet deadlines. You will be responsible for leading, directing, guiding, and overseeing all video production content. This position is for someone who can assist and guide other staff manage and take video projects from concept to completion while maintaining the high-level production values that is expected of our brands.

The Lead Video Producer should have a passion for storytelling and compelling video series and must possess the ability to create content for BendPak across multiple platforms. In addition to conceptual thinking, the ideal candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and producing skills and a mastery of best video practices across long and short form video content. They should also be well-versed in analytics and possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of pre- and post-production.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead on all video creation and production for rich media to promote BendPak and BendPak Products through YouTube, Meta, Instagram and other social media platforms.

Lead on all video creation and production from inception to final post to include, Instagram Reels, Youtube Shorts, Twitter & Facebook shortform video content.

Develop and write scripts and copy for original and branded content, short form to long form.

Strategize and report on best video practices for short form video content across BendPak and BendPak family product channels.

Continually brainstorm and develop new long and short form series and episode ideas, ensuring consistency across all BendPak and BendPak family product social and video content.

Supervise and work closely with long and short form video producers and editors to create compelling video content, signing off on edits when necessary.

Edit episodes, long, and short form content if and when necessary.

Oversee projects from inception to completion, including conceptualizing, writing, and managing editorial, graphics production, music composition, and sound design.

Develop and foster working relationships with external partners.

Work closely with the Executive Management to uphold the standards of the BendPak brand.

Work closely and align with Executive Management on best practices and guidelines.

Continually improve efficiency and enforce the production process.

Ensure all productions are wrapped in a timely manner and within budget.

Produce, shoot, and edit short and long form video content all in one.

Strategizes, produces, and manages original short and long form video content designed for a social and online audience.

Films videos in our studio, on set or on location.

Direct, guide, and shape editorial pitches into video concepts and coordinates shoot logistics.

Film video and digital footage needed to create content used for marketing and training.

Provide creative and technical input on how we approach video capture that follow our overall Brand and Content Strategy guidelines as well as the specific vision for each video project.

Operate cameras, lighting, and grip equipment.

Provides troubleshooting of video and lighting equipment; performs routine equipment maintenance.

Transports and sets up camera, lighting and grip equipment as required.

Makes recommendations for video equipment purchases.

Creatively produces video content following the direction given in outline, shot list, shoot deck, or briefs and records and/or tapes audio and video segments, edits raw video, designs digital video effects, and creates graphics as needed to create finished videos.

Perform pre- and post-production tasks that may include backing up media, reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing and exporting using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other industry standard software.

Ensure all staff produced videos to tell a story that promotes BendPaks ideals.

Work with existing customers to film our products.

Ensure that all staff follow safety rules and state laws during shoots, including but not limited to location consent, talent consent, and being aware and mindful of any potential issues.

Ensuring that staff keep BendPak equipment clean, up to date and secure whether on or off BendPak property.

Ensure that images are getting ingested with the right metadata.

Ensure that all staff adhere to digital naming conventions, file management, metadata, and quality control.

Maintain clear and concise naming conventions for assets that are consistent with current and former naming conventions.

Work through assignments as provided by Brand Assets and Rich Content Manager.

Assist with managing multiple projects at different stages of the development process.

Assist with proofing of all videos.

Follow-up with all teams on outstanding deliverables to meet timelines.

Reviewing videos for deficiencies or errors.

Correcting inaccuracies and validating output.

Stays current on the latest trends in digital.

Other tasks and duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

High School diploma required; college degree preferred, BS or BA with a major course of study in Media/Video Production.

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in digital video production, including editing or video and audio material with experience in working on short form pieces. Social video production a plus.

Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Speed Grade, etc.).

Must be able to type a minimum of 45WPM.

Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based and Windows-based software and databases, and general internet use.

Previous experience preparing content for multimedia platform distribution.

Strong working knowledge of the latest shooting styles, techniques, and equipment.

Creativity and a passion for cinematography, video editing, the role of sound and music in video, and composing videos that inspire.

Advanced knowledge of professional production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology.

Advanced knowledge of professional video production equipment including building and operating cameras, operating gimbals, extensive knowledge of lighting principles/techniques, file compression, graphics manipulation, and post-production equipment.

Strong storytelling skills.

Comfortable working in documentary, unscripted productions as well as following storyboard and script.

Ability to lead a shoot and work collaboratively with production team to execute based off direction or independently.

Demonstrable range in shooting and editing in various levels of production from more polished and produced multi-cam pieces as well as rough, single camera work with lower quality footage.

Ability to follow and craft story lines and communicate information in a captivating and enticing manner.

While you will be based in our corporate office in Agoura Hills, CA part of your job may involve some light travel to different shooting locations including our distribution locations in Theodore, AL and Santa Paula, CA.

Available for travel as needed to remote locations both within and outside of Southern California.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must regularly walk to and from different warehouses to conduct research.

May be required to wear PPE when in those warehouses.

Will have access to confidential information and required to abide by BendPak Inc.’s privacy policies and regulations concerning this information.

This role routinely uses standard general office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and various computer software programs.

Required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, touch, see, and hear; occasionally operate machinery.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must regularly be able to operate a mouse, keyboard, telephone, and any other computer-related equipment.

Must have vision abilities to operate computer and phone systems.

Employee must have the ability to complete product training which can include but is not limited to hands-on training.

Lifting ability of 40-50 lbs. and physical demands including but not limited to: standing, squatting, operating machinery, and performing repetitive motions.
