About the Job:

The Senior Manager, Content Manager leads the development and execution of our brand's newsroom and storytelling operations, including the development of video, digital, and social content to advance the Xcel Energy brand. This role is a dynamic leader with a strong background in brand storytelling, including developing and executing video, digital, and social content to reach distinct audiences. This leader understands how content flows and connects across all marketing platforms to enhance brand awareness and build brand trust. The Senior Manager leads a team that collaborates with others to develop content campaigns, get hands on with execution and production, and optimize plans based on data and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:Lead the strategic development and execution of Xcel Energy's corporate storytelling and brand content strategy.Lead the creation of engaging brand content for distribution through corporate digital channels, including website, social media, advertising, and email.Lead the content "newsroom" operations, including overseeing content calendar and brand strategy alignment across all channels.Lead and develop team of writers, videographers, and operations professionals.Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve content effectiveness.Stay current on content development trends, best practices, production techniques, and emerging technologies in digital marketing and content creation, including generative AI.Maintain highly collaborative and productive relationships with internal colleagues, external agencies, and sponsorship partners.Ensure on-time and on-budget execution of projects.Build and manage a team of creative content specialists.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.7+ years of experience in content marketing, production, or related marketing roles.Proven ability to develop and execute successful content marketing strategies.Proven ability to lead and develop teams.Strong understanding of content distribution across marketing channels.Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.Data-driven mindset with experience in analytics and performance tracking.Experience managing production and/or campaign budgets.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience managing teams or external agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or MBA.Past leadership of a corporate newsroom and/or editorial newsroom.Familiarity with paid social advertising and influencer marketing.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $105,600.00 to $172,000.00 per year.
