Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer in Richland, WA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing plant 3D models, piping systems, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed 3D models of plant layouts, equipment, and piping systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit).Create accurate and comprehensive piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs).Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on plant 3D modeling, piping systems, and mechanical components.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or Revit, and other relevant design software.Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience in the Hanford / DOE sector is preferred.
