Basic Purpose:

The Hotel Director of Sales and Marketing will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, public relations, and revenue management for our hotel. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive strategies to maximize room revenue, promote the hotel's brand, and foster relationships with key clients and travel agents. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven hotel sales and marketing track record.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans that align with the hotel's overall business objectives. Regularly analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to inform strategy.

Sales Leadership:

Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Develop sales forecasts, set sales goals, and monitor performance metrics.

Revenue Management:

Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize hotel revenue performance including meeting or exceeding established budget and/or forecast targets.

Marketing Campaigns:

Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various platforms including digital, social media, print, and events. Ensure campaigns are creative, targeted, and effective in driving bookings.

Brand Management:

Enhance the hotel's brand image through public relations, partnerships, and community involvement. Manage the hotel's reputation and ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Client Relationships:

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other key stakeholders to secure repeat business and referrals.

Event Planning:

Coordinate with the sales team to market and sell event spaces, ensuring high occupancy for conference facilities, weddings, and other special events.

Budget Management:

Manage the marketing and sales budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and achieving ROI on marketing spend.

Team Development:

Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Technology Utilization:

Leverage CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics to enhance sales and marketing efforts.

Human Resources:

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the company’s HRIS, talent management, and payroll system.

Additional Functions:

Adhere to all rules and regulations outlined in the CHA La Mirada Employee Handbook.

Maintain an organized work area at all times.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Proven track record of increasing revenue through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Knowledge of hotel industry CRM/PMS software and systems.

Ability to travel occasionally for industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Must have hotel specific work experience.

Physical Requirements:

Fluent in the English language.

Close and distance vision.

Frequent sitting with some walking and standing.

Frequently lifts/carries up to 10 lbs.

Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Stand for long periods of time and walk extended distances.

Reach hands and arms in any direction.

May be required to work irregular hours including nights and weekends.

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
