As part of our Silicon Engineering group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors! You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. As a member of Apple's GPU Shader Core team, you will develop power efficient, high-performance 3D graphics processor microarchitectures targeted for low power mobile devices and high-performance personal computers that are used by millions of people every day!DescriptionAs a GPU Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, low-power graphics IP that meets our performance, timing, and area goals. You will explore design trade-offs, while exercising rigorous design principles. Additionally, you will be required to understand and contribute to cutting edge microarchitectural specifications in order to design best in class GPUs. To accomplish this, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in architecture, validation, modeling, and physical design.Understanding of fundamental computer architecture principlesAbility to code using System Verilog HDLKnowledge of logic design, including simulation and debugUnderstanding of timing analysisBS + Minimum of 0 years of experiencePreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with backend tools and flows: synthesis, placement, and routingUnderstanding of hardware performanceExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or PerlAbility to work well in a team in order to be productive under aggressive product schedulesPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $58.61 and $88.29/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
