Senior Textile Designer

Position Overview:
The Senior Textile Designer at DaDa Bedding Collection will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic direction of our product lines, particularly focusing on quilt and fabric designs. This role requires a seasoned designer with a deep understanding of textile patterns, materials, and production processes, as well as a strong ability to translate trends into beautiful, market-ready products. You will collaborate closely with our Art Director, product development team, and manufacturers to bring your creative visions to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership:
Lead the design of new textile collections, with a focus on quilts, bedspreads, and other home textiles, ensuring they align with the brand’s aesthetic and market trends.
Trend Analysis:
Conduct research and analyze market trends to inform design concepts and stay ahead of industry developments.
Material Selection:
Work closely with suppliers to select fabrics, colors, and textures that meet the brand’s standards of quality and luxury.
Pattern Development:
Create and refine patterns, motifs, and designs that are both innovative and commercially viable.
Collaboration:
Partner with the Art Director, product development, and production teams to ensure that designs are executed to the highest standards.
Prototyping:
Oversee the creation of design prototypes, ensuring that the final product meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain rigorous quality control throughout the design and production process, ensuring that all products reflect the brand’s commitment to excellence.
Mentorship:
Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment.
Design Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of design projects, including sketches, samples, and production notes, to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in textile design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in quilt and fabric design.
Education:
A degree in Textile Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD systems, with strong sketching and hand-drawing abilities.
Creativity:
A keen eye for color, pattern, and texture, with the ability to innovate while staying true to the brand’s identity.
Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing the highest quality work.
Adaptability:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and flexibility.
