$25/hrGeneral Responsibilities The Dragon Podcast Manager provides overall vision and leadership by planning, developing, managing, and scheduling digital media productions and podcasts for Dragon Podcasts and HCC's Public Relations and Marketing (PRM) Department, while also producing, directing, voicing and editing productions. This position manages production, social media, and media events for Dragon Podcasting. The Dragon Podcast Manager sets programming standards and supervises student interns.Work Performed

Manage new and existing programming (produce, direct, host, voice, and edit podcasts).Work in collaboration with the PRM department in ensuring the work done is strategic and part of an overall campaign.Launch and manage programming strategies and standards to grow the college's digital media productions.Provide HCC with story ideas that produce diverse and engaging programming and highlight the college, its students, staff and programs.Provide editorial oversight and manage all digital media podcasting productions.Manage social media platforms.Promote Dragon Podcasts to grow the audience.Represent Dragon Podcasts or the Office of PRM in community outreach efforts.Work with the Dragon Digital Media Associate Director to develop and make operating budget recommendations ensuring the department operates within budget.Stay abreast of digital media trends to maintain innovation in the field.Create and provide internship opportunities for students to learn and gain hands-on experience with all aspects of digital media production (i.e. producing, directing, editing etc.) ensuring professional standards are met for all productions.Minimum Education Required Associate's degreeOther Knowledge Required

Associate degree related to writing, digital media production, editing or related field required.Professional training in digital media production, podcasting, journalism, or related fields.Must have expert knowledge of and experience operating digital recording production equipment, professional standard audio editing software, and practices of studio standards and techniques. High aptitude with technology required.Proven track-record of independently creating programming/content from scratch to a finished product, transforming ideas from abstract concept into tangible form.Requires high degree of creativity, flexibility and vision coupled with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Supervision Direct supervision over student interns.Division Vice President of External Affairs, Communications, & AdvancementDepartment Public Relations & MarketingPosting Detail Information
