We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Industrial Design Manager to lead our award-winning design team in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will oversee the design and development of a wide range of video gaming accessories and consumer electronics. You will balance responsibilities as both a manager and an individual contributor, ensuring that design projects are executed with excellence. This role reports to the Vice President of Design and the position will be based onsite at our Torrance, CA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the industrial design team, cultivating a creative and collaborative environment.
Develop and implement design strategies that align with company goals and market trends, particularly in the retro video game industry.
Manage the entire design process, from concept ideation to final production, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
Stay informed on industry trends through market research, driving innovation in retro gaming electronics.
Review and refine design concepts, prototypes, and final products, ensuring alignment with brand standards and user needs.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
Present design concepts and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
Comfortable working onsite at our Torrance, CA office.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Toy Design, or a related field is preferred.
10+ years of professional design experience, with a proven track record in managing design teams.
Expertise in 3D modeling (Solidworks or Rhino), including organic and complex surfacing.
Proficiency in Keyshot 3D rendering.
Strong hand sketching and conceptualization skills.
Ability to refine designs based on feedback.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Fluent in English (Reading/Writing/Verbal).
A flexible, positive attitude with a passion for learning.
A strong passion for video games and consumer electronics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
