Title : Technical Writer - Project Documentation SpecialistFamiliarity with OSHA, ANSI/ISA, EPA regulations, and relevant software (Siemens PCS7, IBM MAXIMO)Location: Radford, VA 24141Duration: 06+ Months of contract with possible extension
As our Technical Writer, you will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject-matter experts to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. Your work will be essential in ensuring our projects are well-documented and easily understood by various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Identify, gather, and develop content for project documentationGenerate documentation using MS Word and Adobe AcrobatReport progress to project managementManage schedules and prioritize tasksIdentify and pursue an expanding catalog of project deliverables
Required Skills:Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatExcellent communication and note-taking skillsEnthusiasm for learning technical concepts across various engineering fieldsStrong English grammar and writing skillsAbility to manage schedules and project scope
Preferred Skills:Proficiency in MS Visio and MS ProjectExperience working with technical/project teamsBackground in writing technical documentsFamiliarity with OSHA, ANSI/ISA, EPA regulations, and relevant software (Siemens PCS7, IBM MAXIMO)
Required Experience:Assembling and coordinating technical final reporting documentsIndustrial procedure developmentDeveloping end-user guides
Education:Associates Degree (minimum)
