While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.CyberArk is looking for a Public Relations Specialist with the role based, on a hybrid basis, in our Newton, MA HQ. In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Global Public Relations (based in CyberArk’s London, UK office). You will collaborate with the global public relations team and other cross-functional teams across marketing, as well as the executive team, customer-facing sales and technical teams, plus researchers and subject matter experts in CyberArk’s Red team and CyberArk Labs.

The role

Your role will be pivotal in the coordination and execution of North American and Corporate public relations activities, providing valuable awareness, positioning and credibility for CyberArk as the global identity security leader. You will work closely with CyberArk’s Americas PR lead as well as the wider global public relations team members to ensure consistent delivery of corporate messaging, working to a high standard and with measurable outcomes.

We’re looking for a positive, enthusiastic, highly-organized individual who can plan well, values words and their impact, can work well in a geographically-dispersed team and can work with individuals of varying levels of seniority. The role has room to grow and develop.

Job responsibilities

Role responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Share ownership of PR strategy in North America.

Play a part in creating powerful content with strong storytelling that gains media coverage.

Work with CyberArk SMEs and PR agency partners to identify topics for bylined articles, helping to manage the writing and editing process of such articles and deliver finished content, related media pitches and spokesperson talking points.

Use CyberArk research (end-user or technical) in media, tailoring content to suit the audience.

Be an integral part of the process of bringing (as appropriate) Labs / Red Team research to market; through conception, editing, legal review and launch to media.

Think creatively, partnering to develop / execute initiatives that maximize news opportunities with our channel and strategic advisory partners, as well as with vendors in CyberArk’s technology partner program.

Support delivery of customer stories and highlight them to media where possible.

Proactively communicate public relations plans to ensure transparency and understanding between stakeholders.

Ensure that CyberArk.com’s online newsroom is always up to date, including posting press releases, awards and top media coverage.

Own monthly/quarterly global PR program measurement and analysis, as well as CyberArk’s Power of Voice weekly CMO reporting.

Support major CyberArk events where there is PR opportunity.

Liaise with and support CyberArk’s social and analyst relations teams as needs arise.

Be part of the team that responds appropriately to hot topics in the news agenda, both in the USA and worldwide, working with CyberArk spokespeople and PR agencies to develop timely responses.

Identify forums for speaking in North America – paid and earned, including industry events, educational forums and podcasts. Maintain central global speaker calendar.

Identify award opportunities in the Americas and maintain central global awards calendar.

Qualifications:

General Requirements

Ability to build strong working relationships with CyberArk subject matter experts; help spokespeople effectively prepare and engage with media and influencers to continue to elevate themselves and the company.

Be an active and willing contributor and partner across the marketing organization – collaborating with members of the content, web, blog, event, regional marketing, sales/technical, product marketing and CyberArk Labs teams, as well as with other groups such as senior leadership and investor relations. You will be skilled at persuasion, mediation and negotiation.

Role Requirements

3 years’ vendor and/or PR agency experience (a mix of the two would be ideal).

Strong PR agency management skills.

Excellent written and spoken communication in English. Additional languages would be a bonus.

Cybersecurity industry experience not required, but preferred.

Strong project management, time management and execution skills.

The ability to work with and across different functions in a highly collaborative manner.

Strong skills in understanding and translating technology concepts into messaging and content that resonates (often in different vertical markets).

Great writing, editing and storytelling skills.

A passion for technology.

The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often at short notice.

Positive attitude with an innate curiosity and willingness to learn.

The salary range for this position is $67,000 – $95,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
