YOUR MISSION

Create and execute innovative apparel designs which bring the Ambassadors' vision to life and meet the requirements of the Sportstyle Business Unit under the direction of the Design Director.

Balance expectations of the brand, business unit and ambassador/collab partners whilst creating exciting new product.

Integrate the latest product and technical developments into designs; ensure that design activities leverage learning across the Puma organization.

Create products that reinforce and strengthen the brand position and help to generate consumer demand.

Collect market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments; leverage these within the design process.

Produce, maintain and update creative presentations, sketches, Illustrator drawings, specifications, mood boards, color directions as required.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with the team across functions including design, product management and marketing. Facilitate alignment of footwear, apparel and accessories.

Contribute to adequate protection of PUMA's intellectual property.

Oversee ordering of early release product, special orders, and buys for any product gifting related to ambassador.

YOUR TALENT

Bachelor's Degree in Design, Fashion and/or relevant field of study.

2+ years relevant experience in the fashion, sportswear or casual sports lifestyle space specializing in apparel; collaboration experience is a plus.

Deep understanding of what streetwear and fashion consumers are looking for; knowledge of the lifestyle market and high fashion trends; ability to translate those trends into relevant product design.

Experience of working in a small design team is a strong advantage - hands-on orientation.

Proficiency and refinement in all stages of design and presentation, from concept to final design review.

Have a broad knowledge of apparel manufacturing, cut-and-sew design. Prototyping skills are a plus.

Proficient to advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. 3D knowledge is a plus.

Function autonomously as well as in a cooperative, diverse group with the ability to adapt to change quickly.

Tremendous attention to detail, and extraordinary time-management skills; ability to thrive under and adhere to tight timelines.

Travel on development, market and inspiration trips as needed, may be with short notice (domestic and international - up to 20%).
