Overview of the Role: The Development Communications Associate is responsible for an array of projects designed to make a compelling case for philanthropic support, deepen relationships with donors and funders, and contribute to the strategic growth and sustainability of the PJCC. This includes grant writing and reporting, donor communications, compilation of inspirational donor and impact stories, and development of materials for solicitations and appeals. This role involves collaborating closely with program staff to understand and effectively communicate the impact of PJCC programs to donors and funders, and the marketing team to produce fundraising collateral and publications. The role also includes conducting research to identify prospective individual and foundation donors, crafting donor profiles, and actively participating in development activities contributing to the achievement of PJCC's fundraising goals.

Manage the cycle of grant proposals and reporting, with ~40 deliverables annually, working in close partnership with the Sr. Director of Development.Craft compelling grant proposals and reports highlighting impact of PJCC programs in accordance with funder guidelines and priorities.Collaborate with program teams to gather quantitative and qualitative data for proposals and reports.Conduct research to identify potential new funders aligned with PJCC priorities.Cultivate and maintain relationships with a portfolio of foundation program officers.Monitor grant timelines to ensure compliance with funder requirements for applications and reports, and track grants in Salesforce CRM.Develop donor-focused communications that highlight impact and giving opportunities, such as an annual Impact Report, program updates for donors, acknowledgement letters, and cases for support.Collaborate with Development Manager to create appeals and communications designed for specific audiences, such as new donors, Board Alumni, preschool families, and program participants.Compile inspirational stories of impact and testimonials from program participants and donors.Partner with Development and Marketing teams on production of fundraising collateral, presentations, and select print and digital donor materials.Prepare annual reports for endowment fund donors.Conduct research on current and prospective donors and create detailed donor profiles to support their cultivation and solicitation.Be an engaged member of the PJCC Development Team by participating in and supporting additional projects as needed, including events, volunteer engagement, and donor stewardship.Development Communications and Stewardship:

Develop donor-focused communications that highlight impact and giving opportunities, such as an annual Impact Report, program updates for donors, acknowledgement letters, and cases for support.Collaborate with Development Manager to create appeals and communications designed for specific audiences, such as new donors, Board Alumni, preschool families, and program participants.Compile inspirational stories of impact and testimonials from program participants and donors.Partner with Development and Marketing teams on production of fundraising collateral, presentations, and select print and digital donor materials.Prepare annual reports for endowment fund donors.Conduct research on current and prospective donors and create detailed donor profiles to support their cultivation and solicitation.Be an engaged member of the PJCC Development Team by participating in and supporting additional projects as needed, including events, volunteer engagement, and donor stewardship.Minimum Qualifications:
