Verifies eligibility, obtains benefit information, and generates letters for authorizations. Required Qualifications:Previous experience with computer registration and registration scheduling systemMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust demonstrate general understanding of medical terminologyMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust be able to travel to off site physician practicesMinimum one (1) year recent experience (within past two (2) years) registering patients in a hospital or clinic, working as a Medical Assistant, or working in medical billingGeneral knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishDemonstrated experience using MS OfficeAbility to work weekends, holidays, and eveningsAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to interpret and understand various medical insurance plans and make accurate determinations regarding coverageAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
