Job Title: Social Media Intern
Background Information
The Massachusetts Pirates are a professional football team competing in the Indoor Football League and are aiming for a championship-winningseason! Our team is growing and we would love to add you to it. With 7 home games in a season, our interns are involved with our online platforms and serve as brand ambassadors to current and future fans.
This part-time position is unpaid but has an opportunity for school credit. Our hours are flexible and the ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about the social media space.
Job Responsibilities
Brainstorming and creating fun/engaging social media contentComing out to all home games and assisting with gameday contentCapture photo/video content as neededAttend various practices/eventsSort and label pictures/videos for future contentInteract with players and coachesUphold the organization's mission and core values in all programsSpecial projects and assignments as neededSkills and Qualifications
18+ years oldPrior social media experience for a collegiate level organization or higherAble to provide own transportationBe available for all (8) Pirates home games at the Tsongas Center 300 Arcand Dr, Lowell, MA 01852 (plus any home playoff games)Able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays from March to September 2025Must have a newer phone w/ a good cameraStrong communication skillsMust be able to work with others in a team environmentOrganized, detail-orientedCreative thinkerCapable of working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to make well-thought social media content/posts in a timely mannerPassion for creating memorable contentBasic understanding of football - OR - willingness to learnPhysical Demands
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
