Learn more about us atHow You Will Make an ImpactThe Director, Grant Writer is responsible for researching, writing, and coordinating the grant application process for Lifelong Learning and all its supporting organizations. This position will manage proposals, oversee, and select grant consultants including but not limited to developing and maintaining a donor database. This role will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and compelling proposals are submitted to potential funders to support the organization's projects and strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Vice President, Finance, or the designee.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management or related field or 2 years equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills in relevant industry or discipline. Equivalent experience is included in and not separate from total years of professional experience required.Three years' proven experience specific in grant writing, with a track record of successful grant proposals.Two years of combination experience in a leadership and management role. management of grant consultant is desired.In-depth knowledge of federal, state, county and foundation grant submissions, federal legislations affecting charities, fundraising management, and management of volunteer resources.Knowledge of is required.Strong autonomy, reliable, responsible, dependable and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.Proficient level of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and grant management software.Ability to travel up to 20% in performance of job duties is required.Benefits:
