The Director of Marketing & Client Relations

leads marketing and client-facing activities to help Russell achieve its growth goals. The successful team member will be a creative and collaborative strategic leader who can ensure alignment with operations and business development goals and strategies.

Marketing Leadership

Planning: Develops and implements annual marketing playbook and accompanying goals. Prepares periodic reports of marketing team activities, project-related activities and client metrics as necessary or requested. Provides direction and oversight in the selection of vendors, including, but not limited to PR/Advertising, web design firms and/or other consultants.

Managing: Provides direct supervision and management of marketing department including but not limited to: performance management, training/development and hiring functions.

Fiscal Oversight: Provides fiscal management of the marketing department, including the development and administration of the Marketing and Charitable Donations budgets.

Marketing for Growth

Brand Management: Responsible for ensuring the corporate brand is maintained and enhanced consistently throughout the organization.

Advertising: Directs and develops client centric advertising and marketing campaigns that incorporate social media, traditional media, and other formats.

Proposal Creation and Coordination: Directs and supervises the development of major proposals, presentations, and collateral materials. Trains and assists project personnel in proposals to make effective presentations. Provides direct support to business development team in creating strategies, differentiation techniques, and presentations to clients.

Community Involvement: Maintains community connections on local boards and volunteer agencies.

Market Research: Manages and directs staff in the performance of research, response to internal and external client requests, and identification and prioritization of potential markets and clients.

CRM Keeper: Oversees company-wide usage of company CRM and its strategic uses to improve processes and provide insights.

Collaborative Partner: Serves as the go-to person to connect the Russell brand to internal and external stakeholders.

Public Relations: Serves as a spokesperson for the organization and actively looks for opportunities to position Russell as a leading contractor.

Requirements

Educational and experience requirements include: Four (4) year degree in marketing, business or a related field. Three (3) years of core marketing experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. Budgetary or fiscal experience preferred. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to utilize web-based software in the design and update of corporate website.
