RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supporting with the planning, coordination, and execution of upcoming SPE events

Assisting with both logistical and creative aspects including, but not limited to, budget tracking, venue selection, catering/menu selection, invitations & RSVP collection

General research of venues, restaurants, vendors, event spaces, and activities across the wider Los Angeles area. This could also include researching specific areas in alternate domestic/international locations depending on the event

Creation of event schedules, run of show documents, RSVP tracking, checklist & spreadsheet management

Communicate with internal SPE departments when necessary to ensure that teams and executive offices have the most up-to-date information on upcoming events

Book travel for domestic and international events, conventions, and conferences as necessary

Assist with the curation, purchasing, and distributing of approved client gifts

Providing on-site event support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship and must be available for the full 12-week session.

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that is interested in pursuing a career in events and will treat this as an opportunity for growth and development in this line of work.

Organization and an eye for detail are vital. We are almost always planning multiple events simultaneously, so ability to multi-task is crucial.

Professionalism and excellent communication skills play an integral role, both within the event department and when interacting with all vendors and SPE colleagues. This often includes the highest level of corporate executives here at Sony Pictures Entertainment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
