The Project Interior Designer (PID) leads and manages the project's design team from the start of a project to its completion. In collaboration with the Studio Principal, Project Manager, and SR. Interior Designer, the Project Interior Designer is responsible for development and implementation of the design intent, overseeing and leading the design team, participating in client presentations, and running point on the production of complete, accurate and well-coordinated documents that are in accordance with our client's standards. The Project Interior Designer manages numerous complex projects simultaneously, is client-facing, and helps lead, teach, and empower the less experienced staff they are working alongside.

Hard Skills

Registered Interior Designer, holding an NCIDQ certification (preferred)

Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program with a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Commercial Interior Design setting

Advanced competency with required computer software including high-level knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign

Experience with various stages of the delivery process from start to finish (e.g., Conceptual Design, Documentation)

Familiarity with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment)

Proficient in Revit, InDesign & Enscape

Bluebeam familiarity

Soft Skills

Creative and collaborative with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team atmosphere

Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality Designs, presentations, and construction drawings

Communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface directly with clients

Strong organizational and document coordination skills

Ability to make Design and documentation decisions requiring discretion and good judgment

Experience and comfort with mentoring junior designers

Interest in Office / Work Space design

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Atlanta, Georgia and some days remote.

Work Environment

Current Team Breakout:

Associate Principal - Studio Director

3 Sr. Designers (in ATL, Nashville, Charlotte)

3 Entry-level designers

Large Firm support with 'Mini firm like studios' vibes - extremely close & tight in sync team. Their culture is STRONG - if someone needs help or falls behind on a deadline, the entire team jumps in to assist.

Hybrid - 3 days in the office/ 2 days work from home. (First couple of months require more time in the office to get to know the team, projects & clients). Big collaborative office located in Peachtree Tower downtown. Great skyline view- large open floor plan. Works within interiors studio (30 company-wide) 10 people in the Atlanta office. Will be interacting with all 18 studios.

Majority of time is spent in sitting position. Ability to move throughout the office either by walking or through assisted means. Ability to participate in site visits either by walking or through assisted means. There are no lifting requirements for this position. Travel to job site or meetings may be required.
