Senior Game Designer , you will work directly on planning, implementing and balancing onboarding and structured activities in skate. Senior Game Designers at Full Circle collaborate with a cross-discipline activities team responsible for creating engaging content for players that offer a compelling player experience. You will guide a design process that relies on gathering and receiving feedback internally and externally. We are looking for competency in interpreting and providing onboarding and activity solutions based on feedback and analytics.The

Senior Game Designer

reports to the

Lead Activity Designer .Responsibilities:Guide and develop the design requirements of onboarding with specific attention to gameplay mechanics and metagame systems.

Communicate and represent the onboarding vision and design to the activities and supporting teams

Design, implement, and, maintain compelling activities and goals for players

Continually review onboarding and activities data and feedback so it creates an enjoyable player experience that meets engagement targets

Collaborate with other disciplines teams regarding onboarding and activity implementation, quality, and tuning

Attend playtests, provide feedback, and identify practical solutions to problems

Qualifications:Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. We encourage you to apply if you can meet most of the requirements and are comfortable opening a dialog to be considered.4+ years experience shipping multiple titles as a game designer, with experience building onboarding or activity-based content

Deep understanding of different player motivations and what strategies are the most effective in engaging those players

Experience designing and implementing onboarding and activities in a live game environment

Strong interest in reviewing and understanding data and player feedback to create an enjoyable player experience

Experience using in-engine scripting tools to author and modify in-game logic

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

$122,400 - $176,300 USD Annually

* New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

$115,700 - $176,300 USD Annually

* Jersey City, NJ :

$142,000 - $176,300 USD Annually

* Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

$131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually

* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

$115,700 - $163,100 USD Annually

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

$107,600 - $147,100 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
