Position Summary :Uwajimaya is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team and help us grow our online presence and lead our social media marketing efforts. Working to develop social and influencer strategies and creative content, this individual will direct all social media activities to help engage new and existing customers in ways that ultimately drive Uwajimaya customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.This role will develop integrated social media strategies that drive engagement and advocacy for Uwajimaya and manage a broad strategy and set standards for social media marketing. They will develop, create and implement shareable content that is creative, attention-getting and on-brand. This individual will be expected to work closely with marketing, retail and category management teams to ensure that social media plans are effectively integrated into marketing and retail team efforts, as well as leverage any potential earned and owned media opportunities.Position's Key Responsibilities :Own the development of a strategic social media marketing plan, manage campaign execution and social calendar, and its associated budget across campaigns and channels to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement and increase followers.Lead the development and execution of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, live action and other content forms that best utilize the technology across key platforms (Meta, TikTok, Youtube) to promote products, events, and brand initiatives.Work collaboratively with Uwajimaya teams across Retail to develop and execute creative ideas, plans and strategies that connect with our target customers.Develop and curate engaging content that aligns with the company's mission and values, brand voice, and marketing goals.Provide inspirational, creative and thought leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of target audiences.Identify, engage and collaborate with Influencers, managing outreach and negotiations, and content briefing, to enhance brand visibility and reach targeted audiences.Conduct regular analysis of social media metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.Stay up to date and monitor social media and food trends to ensure our approach is fresh and relevant.Train and develop content creators and community manager on content/copy/comments that meets brand guidelinesOther duties as assigned.

Starting at $75,000 annually, Depending on Experience + Bonus OpportunityQualifications

Position Requirements :Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Social Media marketing or Marketing.Proven experience in managing social media for a consumer brand, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.Passion for Asian foods, products, and services.Strong ability to develop and execute brand strategies.Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms, their unique audiences and how to use them to maximize branding and marketing effortsProficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Strong organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail.Proficiency in computer applications (Word, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
