Freelance Soft Goods Associate Designer( Part time in LA)

Freelance Soft Goods Associate Designer for Kids apparel manufacturer to design and develop within soft goods category including accessories.
Contract role 3-6 months/ working 2-3 days / week onsite in LA area.
Support the Design Manager in developing concepts into finished soft goods products- Communicate comments and approvals with factory regarding product development- Maintain a library of strike offs, lab dips, and samples- Update line sheets for review with Design and Merchandising teams- Collaborate with Product Development team and vendors on samples, strike-offs, lab dips, and art croppings- Work with Licensing Manager on submissions and product status for licensed items- Create monthly line sheets using Adobe Illustrator and Google Slides- Conceptualize and sketch 3D turns in Adobe Illustrator- Create FMAs (Final Mechanical Art) and tech pack files for production- Utilize PDM system for item set up and BOMs (Bill of Materials)-Maintain organized records of development samples, PP samples, TOP samples, trims,lab dips, and fabrics.-Maintain Design Approval Tracker for the design team.-Maintain assortments on Miro board daily.-Attend weekly WIP meetings with Production team.
