Job Description

* Work with analysts with a range of experience and writing ability to create and publish releases delivered on a weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis across 20+ verticals* Ensure that content provides substantive conclusions based on the latest data and edit written content and charts to ensure that the information is in-line with the data and data and conclusions are consistent throughout the release* estimates and data in the text, charts and tables match that in the sell-out model* content is grammatically and stylistically correct* written content is clearly and concisely written and in a neutral tone that does not imply a sell-side recommendation* Ensure that releases are written in accordance with GfK's Style Guide* Help onboard new analysts to learn and write in accordance with the Style Guide* Provide constructive feedback to analysts to help improve their writing ability* Occasional writing/editing of marketing materials* Participate in the daily team calls

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required

2-5 years of editing/writing experience preferred

Experience within the financial industry, (buy-side/sell-side, financial news organization, etc.)

Excellent communication, written and verbal skills

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple deadlines; workload will vary based on the timing of releases, so you will need to be able to manage your time efficiently in such an environment.

GfK needs to be able to convey its research messages to clients as clearly and concisely as possible. Thus, the role of the editor is not simply to correct grammar but to aid in our ability to deliver our content as succinctly as possible.

Adequate understanding of the financial industry to edit what is being written and spot inconsistencies in an argument

Collaborative team player who can also work independently

Obsessive attention to detail and always striving for the highest quality of excellence

Additional Information

This role is 40 hours a week, 4 days of it in our Boston office. It is a fixed term contract role for 18 months and you must be able to work on a W2. The role pays $45 an hour.
