The design and research team at Pendo supports the entire Pendo ecosystem and is a highly collaborative+innovative team that operates in close connection with senior product leaders, driving innovation and growth. This role will be instrumental in enabling teams to optimize users' workflows within a defined product area, whilst also working on cross-platform opportunities. On this team, you will have the ability to make a real impact in product roadmaps and to shape internal processes.
As a Product Designer you will be involved in all aspects of the design process: talking with customers, building lo-fi deliverables, defining workflows and collaborating closely with engineering and product to build pixel-perfect designs in an agile environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Creating valuable, user-focused, data-driven solutions that balance both user and business needsClearly articulating concepts and design decisions to Product Managers, Engineers and other stakeholdersCollaborating with Product and Engineering to break down ideas and define scope for projectsDriving adoption of processes early within the org by being early practitioners and champions of those processesActively participating in design feedback sessions and discussionsSeek opportunities refine internal processes and make them more efficient surrounding design, share findingsContributing to the Pendo design system and maintaining consistent visual and interaction patternsBeing a champion for Pendo values, best practices of design and innovation both inside and outside of the companySeeking opportunities to align teams on potential problems, patterns and solutions across our suite of productsBecome intimately familiar with Pendo as a product.Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product design experienceEmpathetic, and have a genuinely collaborative attitudeCurious and enthusiastic about solving people problemsComfortable with all aspects of product design: user research, prototyping, interaction design and visual designDeep understanding of the fundamental principles of product designPassionate about product innovationExperience working closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ship real productDesign and deliver end-to-end user experiences that are grounded in customer insights, business goals and technologyData-driven-use data to inform design decisionsStrong communication and presentation skillsComfortable and motivated by work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing for analytics and/or with creating data visualizationsAbility to code html/cssExperience working with multi-office and/or distributed teamsAbility to write or give feedback on UI copy

Compensation
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected base salary range for this role to be performed in:
Raleigh, NC - USD $100,000 - $110,000
Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
