Communications Manager

Butler, New Jersey (Hybrid) First Environment, Inc.â€"an environmental engineering and consulting company that provides strategic environmental and engineering services throughout the U.S.â€"is seeking a Communications Manager for our Butler, NJ office. This position will be responsible for overseeing corporate communications initiatives across the firm and working collaboratively with First Environment's Market Area Directors. This position will be hybrid requiring three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns in support of strategic goals for each of First Environment's technical market areasManage development and ongoing implementation and education of corporate brandDirect development of initiatives and thought leadership content for collateral materials, website, blogs, media, print, video, etc. based on strategies outlined in marketing planWork collaboratively with in-house technical team to develop and maintain project case studies and past performance narrative, employee spotlights, and other contentMaintain internal communications program to facilitate information sharing within the firm, as well as to inform and involve principals and technical staff regarding marketing effortsOversee digital media and social media initiatives, including website, blogs, video, educations materials, etc.Identify key media outlets and maintain list of editorial contacts and publicationsCoordinate award program submissionsOversee coordination of special events planningManage and attend trade show and special event planning, execution, and follow-up, including prioritizing industry events based on strategic goalsManage quality control for all communications materialsDirect selection and implementation of marketing vendors and consultants to support communications initiatives, such as advertising, videography, or graphic design firmsConduct marketing communications workshops/training for principals and technical staffWork collaboratively with First Environment's Proposal Manager to direct, train, and mentor a shared pool of marketing and communications support staffTravel

This position is primarily hybrid requiring three days per week in First Environment's Butler, NJ officeEducation and Certifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or related field and 5+ years of marketing experience in environmental/engineering professional services industry recommendedWithout a degree, 7+ years of relevant engineering and environmental consulting industry experience recommendedCapabilities / Qualifications

Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing communications campaigns across multiple platforms and tracking performance metricsStrong understanding of engineering and/or environmental consulting terminology and delivery methodsLeadership/managerial and mentoring skillsExpert time-management and organizational skillsProfessional demeanor that enables the person to interact with the highest levels both inside and outside the firmAble to see the big picture and delegate to achieve objectivesSalary Range

$75,000 - $90,000
