Architect & Design Sales Account Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Architectural and Design (A&D) Account Manager, you will be a key player in driving business growth by fostering and managing relationships with architects and designers. You'll represent our premium interior design products and services, focusing on increasing product specifications and sales revenue within the A&D community.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client and Community Engagement:

  • Develop and sustain strong, long-term client relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, deeply understanding client needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Conduct product presentations, library updates, and events such as lunch & learns, held in our showroom.
  • Supply the design community with necessary specification documents, pricing estimates, and product samples, including our signature Metro Quartz line.
  • Provide onsite product support and technical assistance through customer and job site visits as needed.
  • Participate actively in local industry associations (ASID, IIDA, etc.), including attending after-hours events.
  • Maintain relationships with key subcontractors and fabricators in the region.
  • Coordinate and distribute marketing collateral, including product samples, binders, and brochures, for the territory.

Account Growth and Development:

  • Create and implement strategies to grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion.
  • Set and reach targets for revenue growth and account development.

Industry and Product Expertise:

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the organization's product offerings and their applications for clients.
  • Offer design consultations and assist with product selection.

Client Communication and Presentations:

  • Clearly communicate proposals, solutions, and updates to clients.
  • Develop and deliver engaging presentations and persuasive proposals.
  • Coordinate and host presentations with supplier factory representatives as needed.

Negotiation and Contracts:

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and execution of all contracts.
  • Provide material quotes to contractors and subcontractors for ongoing projects, including MetroQuartz.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze client data, market trends, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Compile regular reports on account performance and strategies.
  • Track and document all client specifications from initial consultation to order completion.
  • Manage project and sales activities through the company's CRM system.

Problem-Solving:

  • Identify and address challenges within client accounts with innovative solutions.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with teams across product development, marketing, and customer support to meet client needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven sales experience in the architecture, design, or construction industries.

  • Office-Based Role
  • Regular Travel Required
