An emerging area is demonstrating how products and solutions support organizations’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals.Sustainability Marketing is responsible for strategic oversight of the ESG focus, mainly environmental/sustainability, for the entire global products portfolio, process and policy, and oversight of tactical execution of prioritized opportunities.This role allows the individual to be a critical part of aligning our products to our ESG goals.Job SummaryThe Sustainability Marketing Manager will work with the global upstream marketing, ESG, and the customer research teams to develop a strategic plan for the sustainability of our product portfolio based on global customer, market, and competitive trends. Once developed, this person will work with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, R&D, and Packaging, to develop and prioritize initiatives to be supported by the organization. This position will also be accountable for developing, maintaining, and improving the processes and associated system(s) needed for creating, validating, and updating sustainability claims that will be used in outward facing collateral. This position will work with the content marketing, global upstream, legal/regulatory, and regional marketing teams for implementing prioritized sustainability efforts to support launches, bids, tenders, and other customer expectations.Qualifications:A minimum of 8 years related work experience preferredBachelor's degree in related field preferredExceptional oral and written communication skillsExperience working in a regulated environment (i.e. medical, automotive, government)Prior experience in an ESG role a plusStrong understanding and working knowledge of business systems (Upstream and Downstream Marketing, ESG, Sourcing, Content Marketing)Understanding and evidence of employing standard project management tools and approachesPMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferredStrong influence, facilitation, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated strong planning and organizational skillsAccountabilities:Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projectsParticipates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsDevelops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsRecommends new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsProvides solutions which may set precedentIndependently determines method for completion of new projectsMay act as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesThinks and acts strategicallyHas personal courage and is resilientPay Transparency:Anticipated salary range: $135,000.00 - $145,000.00Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coverage, Paid time off plan, Health savings account (HSA), 401k savings plan, Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay, Flexible spending accounts (FSAs), Short- and long-term disability coverage, Work-Life resources, Paid parental leave, Healthy lifestyle programs.Other:Travel up to 15% (Domestic and International)Standard business hours also may require early morning or evening calls at times as we work with global teams.Application window anticipated to close: 02/08/2024.
