Location: New York, NYAD is the international authority on design and architecture. Every day AD inspires millions of affluent readers to redesign and refresh their lives through a multiplatform presence that includes print and digital editions, social media, signature events, and the brand’s website, archdigest.com.AD is looking for an Associate Commerce Director to help lead the brand’s shopping efforts across all digital verticals (AD, Clever, AD PRO, ADItYourself). This role will cover the home category from every angle including furniture, sleep, lighting, soft goods, and smart home tech.This Associate Commerce Director will work directly with AD commerce leadership, along with a team of dedicated writers and editors, to develop and edit stories on a daily basis, manage the editorial calendar, and drive performance to meet our ambitious revenue growth targets. Critical to the role is experience managing a team, planning and maintaining digital content lineups, as well as a fascination with design and decor as they show up in our everyday lives and the culture at large.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead a growing team of writers, editors, and freelance contributors to develop a best-in-class multi-skilled commerce team that successfully blends creativity with business insights.Strategize, plan, and ensure timely execution of AD’s content calendar, as well as larger tentpole activations.Assign, edit, and publish daily commerce content that features ongoing, SEO, and seasonal shopping content.Develop and maintain exceptional retail and brand partnerships, and help develop, plan, and execute content lineups to support those partnerships and help us meet our revenue goals.Synthesize purchasing data, consumer trends, and competitive analysis to make informed, strategic editorial decisions that drive key Commerce KPIs and revenue growth.Work cross-functionally with cross-functional AD stakeholders to achieve editorial excellence and growth strategies across all platforms, including social, newsletter, and video.Other duties as assigned.Key relationships will include:SVP Commerce, Commerce Portfolio LeadAD Commerce DirectorAD EditorsPartnerships TeamCross functional teams (SEO, Newsletter, CRM, Social, Analytics, Technology, Finance)Skills & Qualifications6+ years experience managing and editing staff and freelance contributors in a digital media environment focused on fashion and style, with experience in service journalism required and specific product recommendations preferred.Strong cross-functional project management experience.Knowledge of SEO best practices.Mastery of web analytics.Strong organizational skills, self-directed work style, and polished communication skills.A passion for design and home decor.Strong comprehension and utilization of purchasing data, consumer trends, and competitive analysis.Familiarity with affiliate link programs such as Skimlinks and Amazon.Deep understanding of the commerce media landscape.This position is based at our headquarters at 1 World Trade Center, New York, NY.The expected base salary range for this position is from $103,000-$128,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.What happens next?
