Job SummaryThe Social Media Manager will work collaboratively with all units within Student Health and Wellness (CAPS, VEP, HLP, Clinics, DoS, SCAI) to properly promote services, events, and resources to the student body and key partners through email, social media, and other digital platforms. Position will assist with brand management, strategic planning, and data reporting.

Plans, executes, promotes and distributes all email, social media and digital advertising campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate students to lead healthier lifestyles.

Grows and maintains social media presence for Student Health & Wellness departments.

Creates methodology to measure and collect analytics from all digital content developed and implemented for the program.

Stays current in latest industry trends, insights, best practices, and optimizes marketing performance.

Supervises and trains SHW influencers, digital marketing OPS, interns and/or volunteers.

Oversees development of content strategy including social media posts and other digital content.

Represents Student Health & Wellness at events, meetings, and conferences.

Works closely with the marketing team and AVP of Student Health & Wellness to set the annual marketing calendar.

Collaborates with the Division of External Relations to ensure brand integrity and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field and three (3) years of experience working with social media in a communications, marketing, or public relations setting.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Social Media Strategy and Analytics, digital marketing, and Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.

Ability to submit 2-3 URLs of managing campaigns from social media platforms.

Ability to promote sensitive topics such as sexual health, LGBTQ+, etc.

Advertised Salary$50,000 - $60,000

Work ScheduleBegin time: 9:00 AMEnd time: 5:30 PM

Working Condition(s)

Required to spend 50% or more of time operating a computer.

Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and at locations outside of the University.
