Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products, leveraging innovative design, data, engineering and other core capabilities to provide customers with powerful tools and products that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity.Your ImpactThis Vice President, Product Design will have a strong track record for delivering world-class design and will participate in shaping the future of the web, mobile, and agent interfaces that support our direct-to-consumer banking experience. This designer will help ship best-in-class products with our product managers and technologists, while focusing on cultivating a culture of collaboration and growth. As a designer-by-training and practiced leader they will contribute to setting the standards for the vision, craft, and creative output of the team.Job SummaryThis senior designer should have expertise in user-centered interface design, visual design, and experience design– designing ecosystems of product experiences (web, mobile, app) as well as visual identity, style, and design system, bringing industry best practices, advancements in trends, emerging patterns, and their applicability to our products. This designer will have an affinity for solving complex problems and crafting them into elegantly simple and intuitive designs, while paving the way for designers on the team to do the same. The best candidate for this position is hands-on and brings designs to life, while partnering with the business to strategically position them. This lead should be regularly collaborating with product and engineering teams to bring the voice of the customer to life and represent design decisions across the organization. This VP will also collaborate with other designers and maintain a design culture across the division, while delivering consistent and extensible experiences that function as a family of services across the group.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end user experience designs and support design across strategic initiatives for the direct-to-consumer deposits business.Design flows, sketches, prototypes, and drive the implementation of designs while leveraging a centralized design system.Manage end user needs and expectations through the creation of journeys and concept diagrams.Partner with cross-functional teams to socialize and deliver high-fidelity prototypes, and design presentations.Partner with engineering to build, spec, and manage final design files for implementation.Validate designs through testing and research to gauge interface intuitiveness and usability.Expertise in applying human-centered principles to design solutions.A high-caliber portfolio of case studies that address business problems strategically.Experience in advocating for design with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions.Experience applying analytics and research findings to design solutions.Exceptional visual design, prototyping, and interaction design skills.Nice to have: Experience with banking/finance or a regulated environment.Skills & ExperienceAt least 5+ years of professional experience designing digital products.Experience designing within the consumer product space.Ability to facilitate design strategy while executing in high-fidelity.
