Our application will remain open and posted until October 28th, 2024.As a part of the application process, please complete a short video introduction by answering some pre-determined questions. You can access that here: Insert link.APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THAT DO NOT INCLUDE BOTH THE VIDEO INTRODUCTION AND THE ELECTRONIC APPLICATION WILL BE DEEMED INCOMPLETE.You will be asked on the electronic application to provide us your top three Henderson office locations, you would like to be considered for as well as your top 3 areas of interest. Please Note: Sectors such as Venue, are in high demand. Make sure to consider providing backup sectors for consideration.Our Graduate Designer Start Dates will be either: June 9th, 2025 or June 16th, 2025. If you are needing a delayed start date, please discuss this with your recruiter at the time of scheduling your first interview.All Interviews will take place via Zoom.Position Summary A Graduate Designer is responsible for supporting the design of building systems, preparing technical documents and providing general day to day design support under direct supervision and with a heavy focus on learning and development.Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities
Drafting & DesignPrepares design documents under the supervision of experienced engineering and design staff.Supports the review of shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.Assists with engineering calculations as directed.Business DevelopmentMay support business development or pursuit activities under direct supervision.Occasionally participates in client, company and/or industry events.Client ExperienceFosters a client-centric mindset and approach.Partners with experienced engineering and design staff to understand client requirements and scope of work.Acts as a liaison to inform engineering and design teams of client and architect questions and relays responses.May visit job sites for observation and learning and development opportunities.Continuous Learning & DevelopmentIdentifies and seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.Henderson Engineers, Inc. and Henderson Building Solutions are EEO Employers/Vet/Disabled/and participate in the E-Verify program.
