As the Technical Trainer/Writer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive training plans and materials, creating user documentation, and delivering technology training sessions. This role involves creating step-by-step instructions, resolving technical issues in a lab environment, and ensuring effective communication of security plans.Key Responsibilities:

Training Development:

Develop training plans and materials that incorporate both generic and job-specific examples, ensuring content is relevant and accessible for various audiences.User Documentation:

Create clear, step-by-step guided instructions and practice examples to enhance participants’ skills and confidence in using applications.Training Delivery:

Conduct technology training sessions, delivering content in a way that is engaging and easy to understand. Adapt training methods to meet the needs of different learners.Technical Support:

Resolve level-one computer glitches that may occur during training sessions or in a lab environment, providing immediate support and troubleshooting.Documentation Translation:

Translate designs and programs into user-friendly documentation that clearly communicates technical concepts and instructions.Security Communication:

Develop and communicate security plans as required and directed by designated County staff, ensuring adherence to security protocols and best practices.Continuous Improvement:

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and documentation, gathering feedback from participants to make necessary improvements.Qualifications:

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in technology training, technical writing, or a related field.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, Technical Writing, or a related field.Skills:

Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs and user documentation.Strong proficiency in creating step-by-step instructions and practice examples.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.Experience with troubleshooting basic computer issues and providing technical support.Familiarity with security communication plans and protocols.Proficiency in technical writing tools and training software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in technical writing or instructional design.Experience in a lab or training environment involving technology applications.Knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
