Freelance Home and Garden Feature Writer

Steady freelance work that pays on time! Static Media is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working freelance writers to join our feature team. Ideal candidates have at least three years of experience writing content for print or the web with a focus on home and garden. We are looking for creative individuals who are self-sufficient and versatile. The position is work-from-home with flexible, stable hours. Static Media recently relaunched a site dedicated to home design, gardening, DIY home improvements, cleaning, and more. From restoring your scuffed hardwood floor to keeping hungry pests out of your vegetable garden, we cover everything that happens inside and outside your home. We aim to supply our readers with useful tips and inspiration to help them live in their dream home, including advice on everything from storage optimization to how to throw the best dinner party.

Feature Writer Responsibilities:

• Claim feature article topics from a selection of assignments
• Research, pitch, and write 2600- to 3000-word articles in a custom CMS with a one-week to one-day turnaround, depending on the topic and timeliness of the article
• Follow the guidelines of our style guide, editorial strategy, and publishing standards to uphold quality of content

Experience Required:
