Principal UX Designer , you’ll set the vision for the best customer and associate experiences and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners. You will use your knowledge of the Design Thinking process to facilitate conversations, create concepts, run design sprints, and build rapid prototypes. You’ll employ your strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale to partners and the leadership team. While working with partners to determine a shared plan forward that balances business and technology considerations, you’ll craft intuitive and accessible experiences for all.You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have:You have a strong point of view and are an effective champion for design and inclusive experiences.A demonstrable track record working cross-functionally with successful products in a fast-paced environment.A strategic mindset and a systems thinking approach to simplify the complex.Ability to produce great work in short timeframes and adapt to changing priorities.Experience facilitating Design Thinking in cross-functional teams.Comfort with ambiguity and ability to motivate teams and partners.Joy in leading by doing, inspiring and contributing to team culture.A self-starter mindset who is well organized and always looking to improve.You’ll make an impact by:Designing at the highest level of craft for a broad population of Walmart customers.Leading a program of work and collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.Creating the experience strategy and setting the design direction for the program.Actively soliciting feedback from peers and stakeholders throughout the product design lifecycle.Engaging the design research team to ensure insights inform the work.Rapid prototyping and experimenting in a fast-paced environment.Multitasking across different projects and adapting to changing priorities.Creating scalable experiences in partnership with our Design System team.Championing the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.Communicating effectively with kindness and empathy.Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.Preferred Qualifications:Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar and at least 5-7 years of experience in product design.Have a fantastic portfolio of elegant design solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication.Perks and Benefits:Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
