We're on a high-growth trajectory and we're looking for people who want to join us on the journey to building a billion-dollar company.Our team previously worked together at Flixed, a startup we bootstrapped to $2M+ in revenue almost purely on the back of programmatic SEO.The problem we're trying to solve Heads of Growth love programmatic SEO. It’s the secret growth playbook used by companies like Zapier and Canva to acquire millions of visitors. The problem is, building a pSEO engine currently requires work from SEO analysts, content marketers, software engineers, data scientists and others. As a result, it’s logistically complicated and expensive. You can hire specialized agencies, but they cost $50K+ per month.How we're solving this problem daydream is building a SaaS platform that automates every piece of building a programmatic SEO engine. Everything from identifying search queries to producing 90th percentile quality content at scale, all the way to automatically updating that content.Demand for daydream is growing fast as our ARR has already doubled since the inception of our company, all before launching a generally available product. This is exciting, but it also means we need to hire to build product faster and meet the demand. We’re looking for senior engineers that are excited to work with LLMs to serve one of the biggest markets in the world.The people and environment Here are three key elements of our culture:Push the pace:

The bar for customer service at daydream is always exceeding the customer’s expectations.The people you’ll be working with Thenuka (CEO): Thenuka was previously the founder and CEO at Flixed, which he bootstrapped to $2M+ in revenue almost exclusively using programmatic SEO. Prior to that he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Hustle Fund and Chief of Staff to the COO at Pango, a cybersecurity company with $100M+ in annual revenue.Shravan (CTO): Shravan was previously an Engineering Lead at Flixed. Before that, Shravan worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook for three years, where he worked on mass-scale web scraping for Facebook’s Jobs product, and Meta Reality Labs.Wesley (Chief of Staff): Wesley previously spearheaded growth initiatives at Hustle Fund’s Angel Squad, and before that, worked at Montage Partners. Additionally, he ran his own consulting business focusing on audience growth.Ownership Areas
Driving content strategy:
SEO is an industry rife with misinformation and short-term thinking. We want to establish daydream as a voice of reason in the space, producing one thoughtful essay on the future of search (or a case study) every week.Writing of content:
After aligning on what we'll write about, you'll write each piece from end-to-end.Distributing content and monitoring performance:
You’ll distribute our content across key channels including our private mailing lists, LinkedIn, and X.1 month
Build context:
You’ll get to know Thenuka, Wesley, Shravan and the rest of the team as you familiarize yourself with the product, and the needs of our customers.Learn the product:
We believe that it’s important for everyone on the team to understand our product well. So, soon after you join, you’ll work with Thenuka to create and deliver content to a real customer using daydream.Write your first two posts:
You’ll work with Thenuka to determine an initial set of posts, write them, and then publish & distribute them. These first two posts will likely be case studies of companies that have done programmatic SEO well.3 months
Maintain a pace of 1 post per week:
You’ll maintain a publishing cadence of 1 post per week, expanding into broader topics on the future of search over time.Support the CEO in editing and writing his own posts:
Certain topics (ex. daydream's higher level thesis) will be best articulated from the POV of the CEO. You'll support him (Thenuka) in writing these posts and publishing them.Build partnerships with guest authors:
You’ll identify other thought leaders in the SEO space and have them contribute their insights to the daydream blog.6-9 months
Expand into new media types:
You'll expand into publishing content through other mediums including newsletters and courses.Support new hires:
As a fast-growing company, we will likely expand our team further in 6-9 months. You’ll help onboard new hires and help them get up to speed with daydream.The compensation for this role is $100K - $150K per year with 0.25% - 0.75% equity in daydream. We usually prefer to have a full-time or part-time contract period before going straight to a full-time W-2 role.We have an office in Hayes Valley, and expect all employees to work in the office Tuesday - Thursday. You can work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
