Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Location ChicagoJob Overview We are looking to hire a full-time Interior Designer to assist in the design process from initial conceptual design through construction documentation and final furniture installation. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, enthusiastic and hardworking. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must as they will work closely with the design team, vendors and clients.RESPONSIBILITIESAssist design team with concept design and development, space planning drawings, elevations, and design details. Knowledge of custom millwork and furniture designs preferred.Create finish schedules and coordinate with design team, contractors, and architects.Request preliminary pricing, quotes and samples from vendors and assist design team with development of FF&E packages.Prepare furniture proposals, expedite, and track orders.Assist with development of client presentations. Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills are required to produce client presentations from conceptual design to rendered elevations.Coordinate with team for project site visits and furniture installations.Develop and maintain relationships with high-end furniture showrooms and manufacturers, coordinate the organization and updating of office Library and resources.QUALIFICATIONSA degree in Interior Design/ArchitectureA minimum of 2 years’ experience at an interior design firmExperienced in AutoCAD, Design Manager, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, SketchUpKadlec Architecture + Design is a collaborative studio located in Chicago’s River North neighborhood bringing together thoughtful problem solving and exceptional design skills to high-end residential projects for almost 20 years.
