We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with strong UX research skills to help us create the next generation of Wahoo’s user experience across our ecosystem of physical & digital products. The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for finding solutions that allow people to intuitively use our products. You will be skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the needs of the customer. In this role you will need to work with other designers, product managers, and software developers and will use UX research to ensure the team makes informed decisions.

Then throw your name in the ring!In this role, you will:Collaborate with cross-functional teams and turn your insights into delightful products in a creative environment that requires great communication skills and the ability to execute a creative vision.Set design requirements based on information from product requirements, user research, and collaboration with the engineering team.Plan and scope design efforts.Identify new product improvement opportunities.Create prototypes to catch design weaknesses and perform usability testing.Stay up to date on current industry trends and market conditions.Lead UX Research Initiatives by driving user research efforts throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to post-launch analysis.Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.Develop and implement robust processes for integrating user research into the early stages of product development.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that user insights inform decision-making from project initiation.Provide insights and incorporate feedback into product designs.Advocate for cyclists, runners, and multi-sport athletes.Coordinate with other design team members to ensure a cohesive experience flows across all products & touchpoints of our ecosystem.Modify and revise existing designs to meet user feedback and changing customer preferences.Support high standards of design and product quality.Work hand-in-hand with engineers to ensure design intent is maintained & projects keep moving on schedule.Recommend new tools and technologies by staying abreast of the latest trends and techniques.Present product design ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.We’d love to hear from you if the following describes you:Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing.An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious.Creative problem-solving skills & excellent attention to detail.5+ years of professional work experience as a UX/UI designer, digital designer, product designer, or similar role.Experience collaborating with cross-functional team members.Experience collecting and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative research data.A well-rounded portfolio of iterative design work, demonstrating a strong understanding of objectives, and showing successful outcomes from concept to delivery to customer impact.Proficiency in Figma, JIRA, Maze, and other design tools.Experience working with hardware or integrated systems would be a bonus.A passion for endurance sports.Ability to work with design systems and streamline workflows with software engineers.Experience working in an agile environment.Ability to effectively communicate and justify design concepts when collaborating with a team.A passion for design, not satisfied with the status quo, and always thinking of ways to improve the look & feel of Wahoo’s digital UX.Motivated, creative personality, willing to “own it”, & do what’s best for Wahoo & our athletes.
