Ideal candidate will possess experience in both the design and construction industries. The individual should be well-versed and at ease in multi-disciplinary environments. The Design Build Manager will play a pivotal role in Plant Construction's upcoming design build projects, as they will be required to comprehend and convey the project's vision to the entire project team and serve as the primary liaison between the Owner, Design Team, and General Contractor/Design Builder.Position Title:

$160,000 - $185,000As a Design Manager, you will:Have the ability to seamlessly consider design and construction processes concurrentlyOversee the integration of design and construction processesEmpower team members to lead when necessaryEffectively manage the flow of information throughout the design and preconstruction phasesBe proficient in developing design schedulesHave a strong knowledge of design and delivery risk profiles, and ability to effectively manage risk throughout the processProven familiarity with estimating, budgeting, and cost management processesDemonstrated experience in integrating subcontractors into the design processWe are looking for candidates who possess these essential skills to contribute to our team's success:Oversee the design-build process from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budgetDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and specificationsCoordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project goals are metActively lead an integrated design-build team, including regular interfaces with clients, designers, trade partners and other key stakeholdersGuide collaboration internally with technical teams, construction managersConduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may ariseCommunicate with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concernsAddress design concerns or issues resolutions as they ariseAssist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, and project plans and providing insights to pursuitsOther Responsibilities as assignedMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s in Architecture or Civil Engineering preferred; Master’s degree a plus10+ years relevant work experience managing construction and/or design integration; with at least 5 years in a leadership or management roleDBIA Certification highly preferredWorking knowledge of project management software; Revit and other BIM-related design tools strongly preferredRobust knowledge of design and cost management principles and practicesClear understanding of integrated design and construction schedulesStrong leadership, communication and relationship-management skillsProven track record of successfully managing multifaceted design-build projects to completionAbility to contribute in pursuit efforts for design-build projectsSelf-motivated, organized team player with ability to manage work priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse, multi-organizational teams and stakeholdersPlant Construction Company L.P. is an Equal Opportunity Employer, offers a competitive salary and benefits package and has an excellent record of employee retention.
