2-month contract

opportunity with the possibility of extension and potential for conversion to FTE. The pay for this position is expected to be

$97-$107/hour

depending on experience level.

Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.The Senior Video Editor will bring a laser-focused attention to detail and deep post-production experience across a range of promotional narrative, testimonial, and documentary projects. You should have high emotional intelligence for cross-departmental collaborations and also work to make stakeholders and colleagues feel at ease during the post-process. Equally important is your ability to remain cool under pressure, be prepared for the unexpected, and ultimately keep post-production running smoothly.What You'll Do:

Deliver creative, thoughtful edits to a wide range of promotional and informational videos.Collaborate with internal colleagues and external agencies on additional asset development or sourcing, such as CGI, motion graphics, illustrations, and photography.Think strategically and understand the core stages of the video production process in service of making post-production more streamlined and efficient.Mentor and/or collaborate with other editors on the team, perhaps on their projects, on yours, or both.Collaborate and/or create edit punch lists / review cut notes to clearly communicate changes from one edit to the next.Collaborate with project Producers on supporting negotiations through an approved bid process, including but not limited to production estimates, talent usage, music licensing, and stock imagery or clip licensing.Manage multiple, simultaneous projects so they come in on time and within budget.Track all reviews/revisions on projects and make sure all comments are communicated to stakeholders and/or vendors in a clear and timely manner.Serve as a quality control check on product representation and claims accuracy on all footage, motion graphics, and CGI.Data management for stills, video, graphics, and other files that make up each editorial project.Confirm all assets are named using appropriate naming conventions as defined by the Media Production team.Archive all final produced assets and maintain updates in archives by teaming with the internal asset management team. This includes providing appropriate meta data regarding the origin of assets and all rights restrictions.Maintain positive and collaborative relationships across various groups within Brand and Creative, Corporate Marketing, and other business units across the company.Coordinate with Project Managers, Producers, and stakeholders to ensure our videos meet compliance, regulatory, and legal requirements.Collaborate with Brand and Creative colleagues on both production and post-production to refine our process for greater efficiency.What You'll Need:

Solid and deep understanding of the video post-production workflow as well as best practices gleaned from years of editorial experience.Solid, demonstrated (minimum of 7 years, 10+ preferred) creative editorial post-production experience.

Submitting an online, current reel or portfolio with your resume is required to be considered.

Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and be prepared to edit from our client's edit suite in Sunnyvale several days a week as well as working from home. Domestic or global travel for event-based on-site edits may be required as needed. Estimated 15% travel over the course of the contract.Experience working in the Agile-Scrum workflow.Expert knowledge and user of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition.

Bonus points if you have a basic to intermediate knowledge of Cinema 4D, Maya, Redshift, Vray, Houdini, real-time engines, and like tools and processes for CGI workflow.

Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Bridge and Lightroom.Demonstrated experience effectively owning, supporting, or managing multiple projects and deadlines across global teams, while organizing and prioritizing tasks from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment.Experience working across multiple departments and personnel to create high-production value output.Excellent communication, writing, editing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Experience with enterprise-level project management tools like Workfront, Jira, or similar.Ability to keep a cool head and emotional resilience while juggling multiple projects.Medical device or regulated industry experience (a plus).BA / BFA / MFA degree in Film, Media or Fine Arts.
