We specialize in the Defense and Commercial Aerospace markets for composite manufacturing, design engineering and MRO composite repair and have received industry recognition for quality and service. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing organization with a family atmosphere. We currently have an opening for a Customer-Facing role as a Sales Director. Working under the general direction of the General Manager, the person in this role will build and close the sales pipeline for new and existing customers through successful Marketing and Lead Generation to support the strategic plan for our composites business. The person in this role will deeply understand our manufacturing strengths to successfully market our capabilities and will generate their own leads by creating strong customer relationships, analyzing market opportunities and anticipating future trends and needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepares a yearly marketing and sales business plan in addition to formulating strategic direction and competitor assessments.Selects and attends appropriate trade show exhibitions, conferences and other events to market capabilities, create opportunities, foster relationships and capture opportunities that lead to new program wins in support of the strategic business plan.Leads marketing efforts by creating promotions materials and sales presentations as well as implementing initiatives through public relations, social media, website, and other outlets.Accountable for the entire sales pipeline and works collaboratively with all disciplines of the business to spearhead the translation of leads into firm profitable contracts.Builds and maintains information databases to identify and report sales forecast and pipeline conversion.Develops and delivers product briefings including technical data ensuring all disciplines of the business are equipped with critical information to ensure smooth new program roll-out.Maintain an in-depth understanding of business strengths while advising on growth opportunities based on industry trends.Develops and monitors expense budget, adhering to department budget parameters.Requires extensive domestic travel.Requires a significant amount of time spent on-site in Wichita, KS.Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proven track record of creating and executing strategic sales in the Aerospace and/or composites industry which leads to profitable growth. Very strong, positive relationships in the Commercial and Government Aerospace industries. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical specifications/procedures and governmental regulations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize data and trends clearly and concisely. Business acumen, strong financial analysis skills. Strong negotiating skills. Ability to Influence without authority. Team player. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication including public speaking. Proficient with virtual office technology.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing required. Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years experience in technical manufacturing or sales in the Composites or Aerospace industry. High level of negotiation is required.Work Authorization:Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in order to access export-controlled technology.Required Safety Training:Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Attend required safety and environmental training, as determined by the EH&S office. General: Maintain personal productivity and quality standards as determined by supervision. Follow standard departmental/company practices and procedures as outlined by management.
