Salary Range:
Senior Manager at $76,799 – $115,199 and Manager at $63,569 – $95,353Location:

Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.The (Senior) Digital Communications Manager will play a vital role in amplifying FPF’s voice and reaching a wider audience. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital communications strategy across various platforms. This includes managing social media, crafting compelling content, and collaborating with different teams to ensure a consistent and impactful online presence.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic digital communications plans aligned with FPF’s mission and goals.Manage FPF’s social media presence on platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, creating engaging content that drives awareness and fosters conversation about privacy and emerging technologies like AI.Craft compelling content for various formats, including blog posts, website copy, email newsletters, and social media content.Attend in-person events local to Washington, DC, including FPF events, and craft compelling real-time social media posts.Work collaboratively with the policy team to translate complex privacy issues into accessible and engaging content for different audiences.Develop and manage online campaigns to raise awareness about specific FPF initiatives and events.Create graphics and images for use in social and email marketing campaigns.Manage email marketing campaigns, including coordinating FPF’s monthly newsletter.Monitor and analyze online conversations about privacy, identify trends, and adapt communications strategies accordingly.Stay current, serve as the organization’s expert on the latest digital marketing trends and best practices, and share/present those to policy teams and leadership.Track and report on the performance of digital communications initiatives with the ability to make recommendations on improving results.Collaborate with the Senior Communications Director and Senior Communications Manager for Global and outside communications contractors to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy.Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.Minimum 3-5 years (manager) and 6-8 years (senior manager) experience in digital communications or a related field.Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital communications campaigns.Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create engaging content for various audiences.Strong understanding of various social media platforms and best practices, as well as how to leverage them for different audiences.Experience with WordPress CMS, GA4, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Slack, Canva, and Monday.com project management.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team and experience/comfort interfacing with executive leadership.Qualifications a plus but not required:Video editing & graphic design with Adobe Creative Suite.Google Adwords; LinkedIn Advertising.Search Engine Optimization.Opportunity to work on a critical and high-profile issue globally in a fast-paced environment.Be part of a passionate and dedicated team working to make a difference.Work in a collaborative and supportive environment.Contribute to the development and execution of innovative communications strategies.Make a real impact on shaping the future of consumer data privacy.Please submit your resume and cover letter via the FPF Career Center with one writing sample (blog, social media, email newsletter) by Friday, April 19, 2024.FPF is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that supports employees professionally and personally through our employment practices and benefits offerings.
