Be Team AAFP.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:The Director will lead a team of content writers and strategists who are responsible for developing and applying content family physicians need to provide high quality, comprehensive patient care. The Content Director is a collaborative, creative leader with experience creating content for a variety of channels. They are comfortable asking questions, exploring new opportunities, and connecting dots across the organization and across content areas to maximize the effectiveness of information and resources. They see value in and practice the COPE method: Create Once, Publish Everywhere—repurposing content with appropriate modification for use across channels to reach various segments.Key responsibilities include:Develops and implements a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan and reflects the AAFP brand. Facilitates the development and use of content in accordance with the content strategy.Leads, manages and mentors a diverse team of content strategists, writers, editors and managers. Assesses and builds skills to respond to emerging channels and changing content needs. Coaches team members for performance.Continuously improves content through audits, measurement, optimization and process improvements. Ensures effective content governance is in place to facilitate content strategy, content creation and continuous improvement.
