This role is crucial in developing and executing our email marketing strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and delivering high-impact campaigns. Additionally, the Director will focus on improving operational efficiency and effectiveness within Marketing, emphasizing change management, scalability, best practices, and continuous improvement. Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Marketing leadership team will be essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:Strategy Development:

Develop and implement an email marketing strategy that aligns with GSK's business goals and digital experience objectives. Focus on creating personalized, compliant, and impactful email campaigns that drive engagement with healthcare professionals and patients.

Operational Efficiency & Effectiveness:

Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the Marketing department. Emphasize change management, scalability, and continuous improvement to streamline processes and maximize the impact of email marketing activities.

Best Practices & Continuous Improvement:

Establish and promote best practices for email marketing. Use data-driven insights and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and ensure the effectiveness of email campaigns.

Omnichannel Integration:

Collaborate with teams across various marketing channels (e.g., digital, social media, web, mobile) to ensure a seamless and consistent experience. Integrate email marketing strategies with other channels to enhance the overall customer journey and brand presence.

Campaign Management:

Oversee the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including content creation, design, testing, scheduling, and performance analysis. Ensure campaigns are compliant with industry regulations and delivered efficiently.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of email marketing professionals. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing and engaged team.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Partner with insights team to analyze email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. Use these insights to optimize campaigns and inform broader digital experience strategies.

Technology & Tools:

Manage and leverage email marketing platforms and tools, data and connections to enhance functionality and improve campaign effectiveness. Ensure integration with other marketing systems for a comprehensive view of customer interactions.

Collaboration:

Build and maintain strong relationships with the Marketing leadership team and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content, design, analytics, and customer experience, to ensure cohesive messaging and strategies.

Compliance & Best Practices:

Ensure all email marketing activities adhere to relevant regulations, including healthcare-specific compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in email marketing, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience managing complex email campaigns within a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or healthcare.

Experience with email marketing platforms and tools, email marketing best practices, including segmentation, A/B testing, and automation. Experience integrating email marketing with other digital channels.

Preferred Qualifications:An advanced degree or certification in digital marketing is a plus.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive operational efficiency. Experience in change management and process improvement.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies clearly to various stakeholders.
