technical artist

to collaborate with modelers in order to rig/skin assets in Autodesk Maya and to implement these assets into Unreal Engine 5 with minimal supervision. The expectation is to assume ownership of their content and resolve any issues proactively. You will also be supporting the development of an ever-growing character creator both by developing new tools as well as supporting existing pipelines.What You'll Do:

Work directly with Character and Art teams to define and build the best rigs, tools and workflows for those teamsWork directly with tech art and engineers to continue development on our character creatorCollaborate with our development partner studios in the development of asset pipelinesProduce work in an efficient and timely manner, adhering to an agreed-upon scheduleEnsure quality of related assets by maintaining responsibility over skinning and rigging tools and pipeline throughout the project's development including fixing bugsHighlight and troubleshoot downstream dependencies that arise from rigging and skinning pipelinesDocument the pipeline and tools development to encourage and empower the art team to optimize their processesWhat You'll Bring:

2+ years of experience rigging and skinning sophisticated assets in Autodesk MayaProficiency in testing and implementing assets into Unreal.Ability to troubleshoot skeletal mesh, morph target, animation assets and blueprints in Unreal Engine 5.Expertise in crafting Autodesk Maya tools and scripts to support project needs.Basic 3D modeling and texturing skills is a strong plusBasic understanding of animation and setting up poses for testing rigsAble to be responsible for the entire skinning and rigging process across the gameKnowledge of character creators is a strong plusGood oral and written communication skillsCompensation Range, Currency USD:

Starting Pay Range: $103,600Pay Range End: $170,400In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation range for this role.
