The Promotions Director for KMYX-Bakersfield, CA proactively manages all the Marketing and Promotion activities for KMYX.
Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.Responsibilities:Develop and execute the Quarterly Marketing Strategy for KMYX.Track expenses monthly and adhere to expense guidelines.Manage the promotion and marketing budget not to exceed expenses unless preapproved by the General Manager.Maintain a current inventory of prizes and other giveaways, ensuring all documentation is up to date.Ensure all prizes have prize sheets and documentation in Promo Suite.Manage all station promotional calendars, including all station activities.Develop and maintain a comprehensive team calendar, employee schedules, and supporting documentation for all sales remotes, club nights, NTR events, and community events.Develop marketing/imaging strategies, trade and non-trade advertising, and expenditures based on the budget for on-air and street marketing.Create a timeline for events from planning to execution, sharing it 30 days in advance with all department heads, sales team, and promotions team.Manage all aspects of station prizes and contesting, documenting all winners and prizes using Promo Suite and Winner Forms.Manage Trade and Trade for Mentions related to prizes secured from sponsors for events and remotes.Plan and coordinate Major Book Promotions from inception to completion.Create and produce station special events such as major holidays, Job Fairs, and other NTR events.Ensure the outside image of Radio KMYX is maintained, with staff in logo attire and proper signage displayed.Communicate with the Digital Department to ensure promotions are represented on the website/social media in a timely manner.Develop, create, and brainstorm promotions with sales to maintain and increase share of business.Respond to all calls and emails within one business day.Schedule on-air promos for station promotions and sales promotions using designated inventory.Recap sales and station promotions within five business days of completion.Generate new sales through promotional packaging and community relationships.Responsible for Community Relations and providing information for Quarterly FCC Community Affairs reporting.Maintain internal communications through daily contact and weekly meetings.Copy the General Manager on all important communications.Write and distribute PRESS Releases for all newsworthy events.Develop professional relationships with Press contacts.Oversee Promotion Department staff and train them in executing promotions and events.Create a system of accountability for staff job performance.Ensure compliance with signed agreements for all station events/promotions.Adhere to all FCC rules and regulations regarding contesting.Record daily Localisms to include community, client, and station information.The Promotions Director reports to the General Manager.Wage:
