Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Geotechnical Designer/EIT we'll count on you to:Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specificationsPerform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresConduct slope stability, soil analysis and other geotechnical engineering studiesComplete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variablesWork independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projectsGive direction to clerical and technical personnel as neededPerform other duties as neededPerform field tasks including drilling oversight and construction observations. Expect to perform field related tasks for up to 75% of the time. Possible project sites located in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut. Occasional travel outside the US Northeast may be expected to help cover HDR high workload demands in other areas of the country.Proficient use of geotechnical software including LPile, Group, Apile, Shaft, Deepex, Slide, Slope/W, Seep/W, Settle3, gINT, Placid 2D and 3D preferred.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or directly related fieldEngineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates hired without their EIT will be given the title "Geotechnical Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.Local candidates preferredRequired Qualifications
