We’re passionate about providing healthcare professionals the most valuable and complete solutions to improve hospital efficiency and enhance patient care.Position Summary:The Senior Software Engineer, R&D applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices in software design and development. The Senior Software Engineer, R&D works on complex assignments requiring the development of new and modifications to existing software features.The Senior Software Engineer, R&D designs, writes, modifies, debugs, tests, verifies, and documents source code. Applies insight, experience, knowledge, and skill, as well as implements best practices and procedures, to develop new and innovative products and improves existing products.The Senior Software Engineer must have excellent communication and documentation skills, and actively participates in the requirements, design, implementation, and testing phases of the program. Also, the Senior Software Engineer must be able to work efficiently in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, and recognize the value of contributions, ideas and opinions of other team members.The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000. Final compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and business needs.Responsibilities

Key AccountabilitiesDevelops high quality Graphical User Interface software utilizing graphic libraries for embedded systems.Develops high quality software in C++.Creates associated software deliverables such as requirements and design documentation, software code, and unit and integration test plans and procedures.Performs Unit and Integration testing activities, troubleshooting, and provides support to testing through design verification and validation.Conducts/participates in architecture, design reviews, risk analysis, code reviews, and reliability assessments.Complies with company quality processes and produces objective evidence per FDA and IVDR guidelines.Participates in interviews for new department personnel.Supports process improvement activities.Develops software tools as needed.Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the positionBS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar degree required.5+ years software development experience developing software for embedded systems.3 years’ experience in developing user interface software using Qt/QML.Skills & CapabilitiesExperience in designing and implementing high-quality UI features.Experience in prototyping new GUI elements and workflows. Rapidly iterate to prove concepts and designs.Experience working in a regulated software environment is desired (medical device is a plus).Skilled in ANSI C, C++.Solid understanding of design methods (e.g. OOD, UML) and full software product life cycles using agile methodologies.Understanding of Software Architectural issues when designing systems.Ability to estimate work durations based on high-level requirements.Understanding of real-time concepts on embedded Linux or RTOS platforms, multi-threaded applications, and inter-process communication.Ability to develop software requirements based on product/system level requirements.Experience with software development tools such as Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, and JIRA.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Travel requirements:
