Work you'll do
As a Communications Solution Specialist in the Organizational Transformation practice, you will act as an advisor to client and assist them with the communications necessary to successfully implement and adopt new technologies or business process changes. You will do this by performing the following job responsibilities:
  • Align with our core values (Flexibility, Authenticity, Connection, Empowerment, Diversity and Unity)
  • Develop communication plans and approaches for commercial and government clients
  • Ensure plans and approaches are accurate, align with industry standards and incorporate Deloitte's best practices
  • Conduct interviews and other fact-finding research and synthesize findings into key points
  • Work with communications lead to manage communications workstreams from initial client meetings through development, review, revision, production, distribution, and evaluation
  • Identify and recommend creative ideas that will deliver on strategic goals
  • Execute communications campaigns, including awareness, branding, launch, social and more
  • Create a broad range of communication materials across multiple communication channels, including print, digital, multimedia, social networks and web
  • Develop engaging, well-designed communications materials, including emails, newsletters, infographics, podcasts, video scripts, responsive email templates, social media posts, website wireframes and other digital/multimedia communications
  • Work with designers to develop graphic identities and approaches
  • Proofread/edit communications deliverables and provide quality control
  • Monitor plan and results, analyze key metrics and optimize for continued campaign improvement
  • Balance multiple assignments and schedule workload to meet established deadlines
  • Keep abreast of communication trends
  • Operate in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Utilize problem-solving skills in an ambiguous environment
  • Contribute to practice development, including culture building, internal community involvement, eminence, recruiting, whitepapers, etc.
The Team

The Organization Transformation practice is about transforming the organization to support its business strategy. This involves helping our clients move from where they are today to where they need to be in the future. It could include changing the organization's culture, modernizing specific functions, re-designing the organization structure, and will require a combination of change management actions to execute the transformation. To enable our success, it will be critical to use data and insights to inform better ways of working together.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study (such as Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing), or other related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on/applied experience in the communications field
  • Minimum two (2 years) of relevant experience on technology implementation projects (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, Salesforce.com, Workday, SuccessFactors, custom solutions) in a relevant industry or consulting environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Ability to think creatively and conceptually, with a passion for storytelling
  • Strong creative, writing, editing, organizational and strategic planning skills and a willingness to learn from others
  • Experience with or exposure to change management and communication strategies
  • PowerPoint presentation development experience
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and follow through
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Style
  • Must live in a commutable distance (approximately 100-mile radius) to one of the following Delivery locations: Gilbert, AZ; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA with the ability to commute to assigned location for the day, without the need for overnight accommodations
  • Expectation to co-locate in your designated Delivery location up to 30% of the time based on business needs. This may include a maximum of 10% overnight client/project travel.
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain the required level of security clearance for this role
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in related field of study (such as Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing), or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the consulting or advisory fields
  • Project management and workplan development experience
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation and associated change communications strategies/execution
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
  • Demonstrated research skills and analytical thinking
