Position Purpose:This position is responsible for supporting world class customer service by expediting the consumer loan process. This includes, but is not limited to verifying consumer loan applications for accuracy, identifying appropriate loan documentation, performing income calculations, contacting appropriate vendors, assessing title and property reports, assuring closed loan packages are complete, and providing support for the Consumer Loan 1Source team.

Description of Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:Verify consumer loan applications in the current loan origination system are accurate for regulatory and bank policies. Request additional documentation/stipulations from lenders when applicable

Verify wage income calculations are correct. This includes paystubs, W2's, 1099's, and Social Security/Retirement income.

Order and review vendor services for HELOC's, update the loan accordingly, and send the borrower required appraisals within the required time frame. This includes but is not limited to Flood Determination Reports, FACT Title Reports, and AVM's/TAV's/1-4 Family Property Reports or Full Appraisals.

Request vehicle insurance declaration pages for vehicle secured loans, and hazard, flood, and condominium declaration pages for HELOC's. Request Civista Bank be added as loss payee accordingly. Verify coverage is adequate for the loan.

Assist lenders with collecting payoff information for both internal and external obligations.

Request exception approvals as well as residual income calculation requests to underwriting when applicable to the loan.

Prepare and print loan closing documents directly to the lender's branch printer.

Complete verbal verification of employment prior to loan closing.

Separate and index loan documents into the OnBase system. Verify all documents are present and accurate according to Civista Bank's policies, including but not limited to required signatures/initials, closing dates, and disbursements.

Perform a second review and process denied loan applications, including sending the borrower the Notice of Action taken within the required time frame.

Maintain open and proactive communication with lenders and other departments including but not limited to IT, Private Banking, and Loan Operations underwriting, booking, and servicing.

Other duties as assigned.Requirements:

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:Three plus years of related experience originating or processing consumer loans.

High School Diploma/GED.

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Outside contacts are important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (customers, vendors, etc.) is necessary.
