Position:

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the marketing and communication activities for abrdn's U.S. closed-end funds. You will be responsible for delivering the marketing strategy and tactical implementation of the plan, aligned with our distribution partners.

Job Duties: Marketing and communicationsDevelop and execute the closed-end fund marketing plan aligned with dedicated budgetOriginate ideas for new marketing initiatives that support abrdn's key product messages across traditional and digital mediaRun internal and external resources to create persuasive, brand-building materials including: digital content, whitepapers, webcasts, podcasts, presentations and other marketing collateralWrite accurate, engaging copy for marketing materials and websites, as well as shareholder and other investor communicationsBe responsible for the closed-end fund portion of company website; quality control; and timely collateral updates.Proactively and consistently develop marketing tactics that increase consumer and advisor awareness of fund complexDevelop launch plan and materials to introduce new products to the marketManage closed-end fund tradeshow and conference logistics, including pre- and post-event planning, promotional materials, event advertising and speaking opportunitiesAssist with re-framing global marketing content, ensuring that materials meet local compliance and brand requirements.Establish strong working relationships with internal collaborators and compliance as well as counterparts globally to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery of all material

Project management:

Conduct competitor analysis - centralize and distribute benchmarking and market intelligence to help grow industry and product knowledge and insightsWork with external resources, conduct investor research programs to determine key facts and perceptions of closed-end funds investor base. Implement findings into investor communications and marketing plan.Collaborate closely with vendors, including report services, advertisers and other third parties to improve closed-end fund exposureLead closed-end fund tradeshow and conference logistics, including pre- and post-event planning, promotional materials, event advertising and other conference opportunitiesBoard reporting:

Analyze closed-end fund share registry to identify marketing and communication opportunitiesPrepare quarterly investor relations reports for fund boards detailing marketing campaign activity, metrics, trading trends and other activityQualifications:

College degree required; preferably in marketing or business administration fieldSeries 7 FINRA-registered strongly preferred or ability to obtain within first six months of employment6-8 years of asset management marketing and/or investor relations experienceStrong writing and communication skills. Experience in investment writing and collateral productionAbility to work under tight deadlinesTeam playerStrong project and vendor management skillsInquisitive employees who enjoy exploring new ways of making something work are preferred
